Influencers: New Avenue in Advertising

Social media has revolutionized the world of marketing, providing companies with a plethora of innovative avenues to reach their target audience. Whether it's through creating engaging content, interacting with customers, or even leveraging everyday people to influence purchasing decisions, social media has opened up a whole new realm of advertising possibilities.

I enjoy following various social media influencers and what I've noticed is that this form of advertising doesn't feel like advertising at all. It's more personable, entertaining, and organic. Unlike traditional commercials that are quite transparent about their objective of selling a product, influencer marketing feels more like a trusted friend recommending a product that they are genuinely excited about.

Influencers often use humor, storytelling, or a relatable voice to showcase the benefits of a product. Viewers are influenced by what entertains them or what they can connect with. The short videos don't feel like a sales pitch, and this is critical because most consumers do not want to feel like they are being sold to.

Influencers have become the new celebrity endorsers, serving as the bridge between companies and consumers. The younger generation is more likely to trust and purchase a product or service that their favorite influencer recommends. This new way of advertising means that anyone could be the next big influencer, and it's exciting to see where this trend will lead us in the future.

Below is the link for one of my favorite influencers. She is very transparent about her journey and I love her travel videos.
